The Book Series…

In 2012, over the course of a productive and fun week, I created more than 200 pieces I call the Book Series. Taking from a set Collier’s Encyclopedia from 1921 as my starting point, I pretty much stepped off the cliff of creativity and let each page guide the next, without overthinking. Pure stream of conscience wondering but also machine-like in the effort.

These old, dust-covered volumes found new life as a “canvas” for spontaneous expression — a blend of history and impulse.

This collection is about renewal, repurpose, and response, and allowing the moment to lead.
